June has been a month to celebrate. Celebrating music, celebrating love and celebrating culture - from speaking to BBC 4 and DICE on new music trends and accessibility, to being named a 2023 AdAge Leading Woman, to being recognized by alma mater. But I am most humbled to have been honored with the 2023 Lead On Award by Access Living at a beautiful Chicago gala.

Apart from hanging with Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, performing a few songs walking away with a portrait by artist Genevieve Ramos, and of course receiving the award, the best part of the night was being able to share a live preview of "Lift Me Up" -- our tribute song and video put together by RAMPD in memory of Judy Heumann -- with Judy's husband Jorge.
