Get your favorite swimsuit ready for the pool!

With memorial day behind us, it feels like summer has officially started! That means it’s time to get your swimsuits ready for the pool. Here are some easy tips for keeping your swimsuits clean and in good shape for many seasons to come.

Rinse your swimsuit with cool water ASAP

Sunscreen, oil, sweat, salt, and chlorine can all be damaging to a swimsuit—don’t leave it to lie around dirty for too long, give it a quick rinse as soon as you’re done swimming.

Hand wash if possible

Swimsuits are typically made out of a stretchy fabric that can lose its strength if washed on too harsh of a cycle. Next time you need a clean swimsuit, either hand wash it or use the gentlest setting available on your washing machine.

Delicate detergent is a must

Harsh soaps and detergents can weaken your swimsuit’s fibers. To keep your suit in good shape for years to come, we recommend you use a detergent specifically made for delicates—or better yet, swimsuits!

Don’t wring out that suit

Although it can be tempting to try to get out all the moisture from your suit at once, doing this can damage the fibers in the fabric of your suit. Instead, you can gently press on the suit to get rid of excess water.
