BUNURONG LAND COUNCIL WELCOME NEW INTERIM CEO, MR KEVIN LEIGHTON
Melbourne, VIC, 01 September 2023 — Bunurong Land Council Aboriginal Corporation is excited to announce the appointment of Mr Kevin Leighton as their new Interim CEO.
With over 15 years of distinguished experience in risk management and governance within the financial services sector, Mr Leighton brings a wealth of expertise to his new role. His extensive background includes leadership roles in renowned institutions such as the National Australia Bank and the QBE Australia Pacific region, where he oversaw crucial governance functions.
Mr Leighton's accomplishments include his tenure as a senior company secretary and governance advisor for the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Furthermore, his direct involvement in leading the Trustee business of an Aboriginal corporation in Western Australia showcases his commitment to effectively managing charitable and direct benefits trusts.
Mr Leighton holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (GDLP), with his admission to practice in Victoria in 2008.
Mr Leighton is enthusiastic about contributing his insights to the Bunurong Land Council. His down-to-earth approach aligns with the Council's community engagement and collaboration values.
