2025 was a BIG year at Boston Community Pediatrics. We celebrated BCP’s 5th Anniversary, a huge accomplishment for the first nonprofit pediatric private practice in Massachusetts, and we delivered comprehensive care to over 1,700 children, most of whom are living with low income.
Throughout 2025, BCP cultivated hope, equity, and resilience at an especially difficult time for families. While many in our community struggled with the stress of immigration enforcement and impending cuts to food, healthcare, and social services, these challenges only strengthened our resolve.
At BCP, we continue to invest in people. We invest in our patients, including by launching innovative, expanded programs–from a psychology PhD practicum which has brought mental health externs onsite to further support patients’ mental health, to onsite phlebotomy services, to a collaboration with the Brookline Center for maternal mental health support, and much more. And, we continue to invest in our outstanding staff, retaining 100% of our medical team at a time when provider burnout is endemic. In fact, this year, our efforts earned BCP a coveted spot as one of Boston Business Journal’s Best Places to Work! Our relentless investment in people, both our patients and our staff, is making health equity a reality for all our children–in Boston and beyond.
With this 2025 Year in Review, we invite you to join us in reflecting on and cheering for all we have accomplished together and all the good work to come. Here’s to the next five years!
Yours in good health, The BCP Team

Our Third-Annual Falmouth Road Race Raised over $100,000
In August, BCP braved the heat with its largest team ever at the Falmouth Road Race, raising over $100,000 for BCP’s work. Thank you to our 40 amazing runners! And look out for Team BCP in April 2026, because our successful fundraising earned BCP a spot at the world-renowned Boston Marathon, where four runners will go the extra mile (actually 26.2 miles), literally, for BCP’s patients.

Leading the Way for Health Equity
BCP continued to drive change by demonstrating the undeniable impact of its health equity model. This year, BCP was regularly featured in the news, including NBC, The Boston Globe, CBS, and more. Additionally, BCP Founder Dr. Robyn Riseberg shared BCP’s integrated care model, including as a speaker at the 2025 BIO International Convention and at Boston Children’s Hospital’s panel discussion on the importance of integrated behavioral health. Most recently, Dr. Riseberg was selected as The Boston Guardian's 2025 Person of the Year and a 2026 Pinnacle Awardee for Achievement in Health Care. See all BCP’s news appearances here.

In addition, BCP harnessed the power of Greater Boston’s healthcare community, partnering with physicians at leading institutions–including the Boston Child Study Center, Boston Children’s Hospital, and the Brookline Center–to deliver specialized, high-quality care. No wonder BCP continued to earn recognition as a healthcare leader throughout 2025.

Innovative Programs for More Comprehensive Care

On-Site Access to Phlebotomy
Inspired by patient feedback, BCP removed more barriers to care with the launch of onsite phlebotomy services this Spring. Patients can now have their labs drawn without additional referrals, appointments, and delays.

Legal Justice to Advance Health Justice
This year, many BCP families faced unique hardships that impacted their overall health and well-being, from immigration policies to housing insecurity. That’s why BCP proudly began its partnership with the Children’s Law Center of Massachusetts, bringing a medical-legal partnership attorney onsite twice-monthly to help educate and empower staff and patients so they can assert their legal rights.

Wrap-Around Support for Every Season
BCP’s Camp Night made summer enrichment available to all by sending over 100 children to amazing summer camp programs across the Commonwealth.
At BCP’s Fifth Annual Back-to-School celebration, BCP brought together over 200 families (more than 350 kids), distributing backpacks filled with school supplies, while families enjoyed good food, photos with Wally, and back-to-school fun. Throughout the entire back-to-school season, BCP distributed nearly 550 backpacks.
For Thanksgiving, BCP’s staff and team of volunteers distributed 375 turkey dinners to families in need, including turkeys, locally-sourced sides and pie, fresh produce, shelf-stable food, a grocery store gift card, and winter coats!
In December, BCP brought the holiday magic with its beautiful Holiday Shop. Over 370 families came together for a festive event selecting no-cost gifts, taking photos with Santa, and enjoying holiday activities. As always, families went home with much-needed relief and good cheer in the form of gifts, gingerbread houses, a new book, produce, groceries, stocking stuffers, and other essential items.

BCP Was Selected as One of the Boston Business Journal's Best Places to Work
BCP is committed to putting people at the center of healthcare – and that includes prioritizing the people who provide it. In a field with staggering burnout rates, we were proud to have our outstanding work environment recognized by the BBJ. This year, we continued to grow and maintained a 100% retention rate for our medical providers. We are so grateful for our tremendous team, and we work hard to give them a voice, support their needs, and celebrate their hard work.
Because of our amazing donors, BCP can put people before payors – and in the next five years, we are preparing to care for a lot more people. All we need is YOU. Learn more at our website and make the gift of health equity today.
