The IWSA is excited to announce our newest cask acquisition from Micil Distillery in Galway. To celebrate the one year anniversary of the fill date, we will have a virtual Cask Announcement event. Participants will be given the chance to sample Micil Poitin, including spirit aged in the same wood type as the IWSA cask: Virgin Spanish Chestnut. Join us on Friday, July 14th at 8pm eastern to hear about Micil and our cask.

June is traditionally the wedding month, a celebration of beginnings. It is also a time for endings represented by finishing required schoolwork and then celebrating with a graduation ceremony. Our June whiskey of the month is from The Connacht Distillery along the River Moy in Ballina. Their Batch One Single Malt is the first Irish Whiskey distilled in County Mayo in over 150 years!
