The 2023 Izzy Awards Favorites have been revealed! Fourteen category favorites were announced during our LIVE Virtual event on Sunday January 21st. In honor of Hot Toddy Day on January 11th, our Cocktail of the Month is the Hot Irish Whiskey. This is a perfect way to enjoy your favorite Irish Whiskey. Soothes the January winter chill or a scratchy throat.
WHISKEY of the MONTH
January 16, 1919 was a day of infamy. The ratification of the 18th amendment prohibited the production, sale, and transport of alcohol. The Volstead Act had far reaching impact beyond the USA as Ireland lost its primary importer. The Prohibition era spawned smuggling, gangsters, & speakeasies. Our January Whiskey of the Month is the Bushmills Prohibition Recipe expression made in honor of this infamous period. Read review.
