One of the goals of the Irish Whiskey Society America is to bring everyone together. As a national whiskey club, it is not practical to get together in person frequently; however, one way we can try to recreate the craic of sharing an Irish Whiskey with friends is to participate in Virtual Tasting Events. Maybe not the same as a pub atmosphere, it can still be a great way to meet people and share stories while enjoying Irish Whiskey. IWSA members now reside in 41 different states. Post pandemic Zoom fatigue aside, virtual events will continue to be the optimal method to "gather" members from across the country on a semi-regular basis. View past events here.
Future events will be planned roughly at 1-2 per quarter. Some will be "free" and BYOW style while others will involve reps from distilleries or brands. Live participation from Irish brands is challenged by time zone differences; however, efforts to secure involvement is aided if there is known attendance based on event sign-ups. Events supplying whiskey have limited quantities so registrants are expected to attend. Thanks to everyone who has attended past events and shared their Irish Whiskey experiences.
In an effort to encourage more event attendance going forward, IWSA points will be rewarded to attendees. IWSA points can be accumulated during each calendar year and are transferable for $ coupons at the IWSA Member store.
