During the colder months, we naturally shift toward more hearty food dishes. Our Wairau River restaurant has changed to a new winter menu which includes an amazing Red Beef Curry, that pairs beautifully with the Wairau River Pinot Noir!
It’s not just our food choices that change with the temperature either, somehow, we find ourselves looking for wines that are more complex in structure and savoury to the palate. Our winemakers have put together a selection of Winter Wines to perfectly accompany rich winter meals, or to enjoy simply, with friends, in front of the fire.
This is a fabulous opportunity to discover some of our limited, small production reserve wines, some of which have been quietly working away in barrels to enhance their texture and complexity for 24 months, as well as the Estate Pinot Noir and Chardonnay – brilliant for lunchtime gatherings.
