Small businesses are the heartbeat of America. They employ nearly half of the workforce, create two-thirds of new jobs, and form the backbone of our local communities. Yet too often, their voices are drowned out by corporate lobbyists, bureaucratic red tape, and one-size-fits-all policies written for big business.
At American Republic Policy, we know this isn’t just unfair—it’s unsustainable. Without a strong, organized defense of small business freedom, Main Street will continue to be overregulated, overtaxed, and overlooked.
That’s why we launched the Small Business Freedom Association—a new nationwide network dedicated to empowering small businesses to fight back against harmful policies and secure reforms that help them thrive.
OUR MISSION
The Small Business Freedom Association exists to:
- Defend small businesses from overreach — Fighting burdensome regulations, unnecessary licensing requirements, and unfair tax policies.
- Promote pro-growth policies — Supporting tax relief, fair competition, and open markets that give small businesses room to grow.
- Give small businesses a voice — Providing direct representation in state capitols and Congress so lawmakers hear from Main Street, not just Wall Street.
- Build a nationwide support network — Connecting small business owners with resources, training, and advocacy tools to navigate the political and regulatory landscape.
WHY THIS MATTERS NOW
In recent years, we’ve seen the dangers of government overreach firsthand. From arbitrary shutdown orders during the pandemic to massive corporate bailouts that bypassed local businesses, small businesses have been left to fend for themselves. Meanwhile, policies that favor multinational corporations and online giants have eroded the ability of local entrepreneurs to compete.
It’s time to reverse the trend.
HOW WE’RE TAKING ACTION
- Policy Advocacy — We develop and promote legislation that prioritizes small businesses.
- Grassroots Mobilization — We activate small business owners and their customers to speak directly to lawmakers.
- Direct Representation — Our team engages in lobbying at both the state and federal levels to protect small business interests.
- Public Education — We share the stories, challenges, and contributions of small businesses to build public support for reform.
