Coronavirus Travel Updates. Let's Talk Safety.

Working Towards a Safe Travel Future

Dear UnCruiser,

Alaska here we come! It’s not business as usual here, in Juneau, or at UnCruise Adventures, but it will be close to normal soon. I look forward to having you with us this year and enjoying the wild outdoors again, perhaps in ways we never thought possible. I understand this has been a stressful time for many of us, and I’m not alone in being grateful for the work our partners do and the support our guests have shown me and my company. I’ve received dozens of emails from guests and associates showing their support and anticipation to return to sail.

In hopes of keeping, you all informed in this time of change, I want to update you on our Coronavirus travel policies. Please take a moment to read through the information here and at our travel links below.

My company takes this pandemic very seriously and safety is center stage in all we do. I emphatically request all guests to receive a vaccination against COVID-19 as soon as possible. There are conversations taking place at local, state, and federal levels to require vaccinations for many types of travel. Our COVID-19 policies will be updated as the availability of vaccinations increases in the coming weeks/months. Our crew will be vaccinated, and we’ve prioritized our COVID compliance procedures including:

  • Pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test with two boarding day COVID-19 rapid antigen tests.  COVID-19 rapid antigen tests are also available on board the vessels.
  • Sanitization and ventilation changes onboard our vessels.
  • Mitigating risks by adding more off vessel adventures and no in route port calls.  This creates a true bubble.
  • Enhanced food and beverage policies such as ending buffets etc.
  • Crew Vaccinations and weekly COVID-19 rapid testing.

These policies are ever-changing, so please check our Coronavirus Travel Updates page regularly at Further questions can be directed to our adventure specialists at

We hope you will join us as planned, but if you are uncomfortable traveling under these policies, you may make a one-time date change to 2022. I do ask that you let us know if you will be traveling as planned, no later than March 22, 2021.

The great news is that we have been experiencing increased bookings and inquiries for Alaska, Hawaii, and our Pacific Northwest adventure cruises with travelers looking for new options and more nature-based adventures. This coupled with the distribution of Covid-19 vaccines, therapeutics, and rapid testing is giving all of us a chance to build a safe travel future…such great news!

There is no instruction manual for how to navigate life at a time like this, but I am delighted to return to our roots and look forward to sharing our connection to nature with you again. Please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. I know that we’re going to get through this together and I look forward to seeing you back on board when you are ready.

Yours Truly,

Captain Dan Blanchard
Owner, UnCruise Adventures
