THE DEPRESSION (or Afterthought) HEEL FOR SOCKS with Michelle Bowman

In the range of heel structures, the Depression (or Afterthought) heel has a lot of advantages. The sock knitter can easily adjust the depth and width of this heel, and the heel can be removed and re-knit, instead of requiring darning. In this class, we’ll knit a sample of the Depression heel in worsted weight yarn to try out the technique, then students can give it a try on their own in their ‘normal’ sock yarn.

Sunday, September 18th

12:30 pm to 4 pm
