Bottega Veneta Loves Laguna~B
Everyone loves Bottega Veneta. But being loved back is not for all. That’s why we’re especially proud to be part of the fourth edition of Bottega for Bottegas, an annual program conceived by the brand to celebrate craft in its finest expressions, focusing on small artisanal businesses. In tribute to the house’s Venetian roots, this year’s selection features six Venice-based artisans, including the talented Bruno Amadi and ourselves. You’ll find our most iconic Murano glassware at selected Bottega Veneta stores across Europe.

Our New Limited Edition Glasses Have Designer Packaging
In 2025, expect more experimental, limited-edition glassware to be released every two months. Moreover, we’ve partnered with Venice-based design duo Officine 27 to create a special packaging that will elevate your collecting experience: the result is a (seemingly) simple, elegant box made of wooden modules that can be rearranged according to each piece’s different size and shape. (Because the new designs they hold are wild and varied.)
Maria Manfroni and Mattia Priola – who started the studio in 2020 – also work as researchers at IUAV, and independent product designers. The packaging they conceived is made to encase, transport, and, yes, exhibit the glass in your home, all in one piece – a design gem in its own right.
The first limited edition series of the year will be released in February and shipped with the aforementioned delightful box.

Social Sauna – Bathing & Wellbeing
Book tip by Marta Dell'Era
This month’s reading was suggested by Marta Dell’Era, a researcher and archivist who manages the Laguna~B Archive.
Edited by Jane Withers studio and published by the spa chain Therme Group in 2022, Social Sauna explores the sauna in its many connotations – as ritual, a cultural medium, and design practice – and retraces its evolution from an ancient Nordic tradition to a popular, ‘fancy’ wellness habit with many devotees globally. (It’s also an interesting example of how beautiful, relevant corporate publications are possible – to go back to our latest Lost Coordinates.) “My interest in saunas comes from living on-and-off Scandinavia for the past two years. There, saunas became part of my weekly routine, often combined with cold baths. I realized that the sauna is a layered ritual with many overlapping factors. What interests me most is the physical and mental well-being resulting from the intense energy exchange that saunas generate. Plus, there’s a social factor that fascinates me. In Nordic countries such as Sweden or Norway, most saunas are not fancy or expensive but rather part of a community ritual and the everyday life of many who regularly enjoy saunas as a peaceful meeting place. In my experience, saunas were also a surprising new, relaxing way of experiencing nudity. The book I chose overviews these aspects and more, showing different examples and declinations of saunas in the modern world,” Marta Dell’Era explains. P.S. If you’re interested in the subject, here’s an interesting article about public saunas in Finland.
The B~Library is an exciting Laguna~B side project. It is a book collection curated (and continuously updated) by @studio.bruno located at Spazio, in Dorsoduro 3276, Venice. Anyone can borrow any book every day from 10 AM to 7 PM. Come and visit!

The Laguna~B Magazine: Our Communications Evolves (Again)
During the past year, our communication team has been passionately working to fulfill one of Laguna~B’s long time ambitions: Having our own magazine. Those of you who habitually read us might have noticed how these newsletters have taken an increasingly editorial direction lately. But after years of ‘practicing’, the Laguna~B Magazine has finally arrived.
Our monthly newsletters will evolve into a digital publication, accessible from a dedicated section on our website from January 10. Starting next month, you'll find our articles, essays, interviews (and much more enthralling content) on our website only. You’ll still receive emails from us, with a preview, every time we publish – approximately four times a month.
However, it’s not just the content’s destination that’s going to change – finally moving into a thoughtful and properly designed digital space! The content will, too. New editorial columns will replace the present newsletters, featuring contributions from independent international writers, photographers, illustrators, curators, and partners. We’ll take the opportunity to dive into the themes we’ve always been into (and that we feel are, by now, embedded into Laguna~B’s DNA): Craftsmanship, creativity, technology, collections, ecology, archives and…books! You’ll also receive a short monthly round-up from our editor, Caterina Capelli.
For those who want to keep up with the Magazine in their social media feed, we’ve just created an IG profile you can follow.
This is the last Latest News dispatch. From now on, we’ll post Laguna~B’s updates & news on LinkedIn. But more surprises will come, so you better stay subscribed.
Last but not least. Thank you for being with us on this journey: your support is an encouragement to evolve, experiment, and keep doing better every day. Happy 2025!
