World's Best Jeans
& NEW Blouses

Seventy + Mochi definitely make some of the most flattering jeans on the market at the moment, plus they’re consciously kind to the environment and everything is made from organic and recycled cotton. What’s not to like? First up are the Jade Green Queenie Jeans that are NEW IN this week as are the beautiful Ariel Shirts in both Dark Grey and White. Lots more newness in the womenswear department coming soon - I’ll keep you posted.

Next up are the Elodie Jeans - a cropped wide-leg design that are great for summer (worn here with the Ariel Blouse in white). They also come in Ecru, Americana and Nightfall. Seriously versatile jeans as they look just as great with sandals as they do with a winter boot.

Below are the Queenie Jeans that also come in Nightfall and obviously the beautiful new Jade Green above. I’m wearing them here with the matching Bea Waistcoat (great on its own in the summer or lovely over a shirt or floaty dress).

Lastly, I’m sporting the Elodie Jeans in Americana with the Ariel Blouse in Dark Grey. Both will take you right through to autumn.

I’ve also just received the Pablo Waistcoat in Jade Green which is going to elevate every outfit. It’s a gorgeous colour and is extremely joyful - how can you fail to feel happy wearing this beauty?!

Zakynthos: Top Tips

Well I won’t bore you all senseless with too many holiday snaps and tales of snorkelling and eating my own body weight in tzatziki but it might be useful, if you were ever thinking of travelling to Zakynthos in Greece (also known as Zante), to have a few pointers. First of which is that there are definitely good and bad parts of the island (in my opinion). I would steer clear of the south east in general and head further north for a taste of authentic Greece. I didn’t find Zante Town itself much to write home about although we did love BubbleBee Gelateria and their faux mimosa trees! I would also recommend getting out on a boat as a lot of the best beaches are only accessible via the water, especially Shipwreck Beach (well worth a look) and the Blue Caves.

The beaches do get crowded but we really liked Makris Gialo which is a very small stony beach but the water is lovely and you’re less likely to bump in any fellow English people. Plus there was a decent taverna up a short flight of steps that served good food with lovely views and a cool breeze. Further down south (the exception to my thoughts on the south east of the island) there is a rather trendy beach club called NOE where you can order drinks from your sun lounger whilst listening to some ambient lounge music. The restaurant there is lovely too and all very good for people watching!

One of our favourite restaurants though was Novello’s which was quite fancy pants but lovely nonetheless. My only advice is not to drink any water (which is tricky in 38 degrees) because it was 9 euros a bottle!!! Other than that it was a beautiful place and our lunch was amazing. Another favourite was a great restaurant called Porta del Mar at Psarou Beach on the east coast but off the beaten track - we went twice it was that good. Really lovely sunsets, great service and delicious food, plus they know how to make a proper margarita so an absolute winner!

So that’s Zakynthos in a very small nutshell. Highly recommended but do your research before you go and be prepared for some very warm weather. Our air conditioned accommodation (and car) were absolute necessities and I would strongly advise finding accommodation with a pool (we spent most of our time in the water apart from to eat and to sleep because it’s too hot to do much else - absolute heaven!)
