Kyle Scott
Husband / Father / Son of a Veteran / Grandson of a Veteran / A Veteran and proud Legion member
Comrade Kyle exemplifies service; genetics may play some role in this as he is the fourth generation of the Scott family who have served their country. Kyle is a modern combat Veteran having served 2 tours in Afghanistan 2004 & 2006, a proud Legion member, family man, volunteer extraordinaire. Kyle is a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 44 Whitecourt, where he has served as President and is currently the Branch Service Officer and was recently appointed District 8 Service Officer.
If this wasn’t enough, he was recently highlighted in the Legion Magazine as The Medal Man. Kyle has been instrumental in assisting Veterans and their families to reclaim medals that had not presented, been lost or destroyed. So far, he has submitted hundreds of requests on behalf of Veterans and their families from across the country. On top of all of this, he is also heavily involved with the Last Post Fund, researching Veterans’ gravesites and has submitted over 500 applications for proper grave markers across the nation.
Kyle has received many accolades for his continuing service to the Veteran community and The Royal Canadian Legion. He has received the Veterans Ombudsman Commendation and was chosen to represent AB-NWT Command for the Legion Pilgrimage.
None of this has been possible without the loving support of his wife Koren and sons Declan and Niall.
Thank You Kyle for your service - past, present and future!
