April! Officially it's been spring for some time, but we agree that April is when Copenhagen really have a change of season, right?
This issue of Copenhagen Unfolded is written by Kasper, editor of VisitCopenhagen's digital channels. When he's not busy being digital, he loves to explore the city with his eyes and ears open. Preferably on a bike.
It's time to put away the winter jacket and grab our sunglasses out of the drawer. It's spring, and we're off to take it all in, go for a walk around the harbour and, of course, get something delicious to eat.

I love it, and you probably do too, as the city starts to bustle as the sunshine hits us. One of the things I'm really looking forward to is revisiting some of the neighbourhoods that I've neglected over the winter. There are just so many different vibes in the neighbourhoods that are worth soaking up.
My recommendation is to head out and explore the metropolitan geography of Copenhagen with no particular goal in mind, just letting your senses guide you. But if you need a little more concrete inspiration, we have prepared some must-sees and dos. Off you go!😉

WALKING THE HARBOUR CIRCLE
Here on Unfolded we talk a lot about jumping in the harbour, going kayaking or a GoBoat ride, catching the harbour bus, etc. but today we're not (necessarily) going in or on the water. We're going around the harbour on foot or by bike (approx. 13 km).
Maybe you just like to go for a nice long walk? Maybe you have a particular wish to explore the architecture along the route a little deeper? Or maybe you're looking for an opportunity to sniff up some cultural offerings that you didn't realise existed?
I'm going for the whole Harbour Circle experience, and out of the highlights on the route, which you can find in the guide below, I'll make a stop at the Nordatlantens Brygge, where art and culture of our Icelandic, Faroese and Greenlandic brothers and sisters are showcased. See you there!

VEGETARIAN DINING EXPERIENCES
There's one thing I always crave, and that's going out to eat. However, I realise that my to-eat list is growing far faster than both I and my going-out budget can keep up with. In April, however, at least one box needs to be ticked.
My heart is increasingly drawn to the joys of plant-based cuisine, and one place in particular is on my radar. It's time to make it happen.
Beyla! Save me a table. Your Blue Oyster Mushroom has been calling long enough without me answering. I'll be there. I'll be there, I promise!
There are a lot of things going on in April. I always keep half an eye on what's happening at Cisternerne, and from the 17th of March to the 30th of November they have the Taryn Simon exhibition 'Start Again the Lament', which I'll be checking out.
Also, don't forget that a couple of the city's heavy-hitters are opening their doors for the season. Both Tivoli Gardens and Reffen open on 22 March, so they're already up and running as you read this.
I'm ready to take the plunge into April, and with the prospect of spring vibes, good food, culture and city life, I think you are too😉
But remember, these are just my recommendations. At the editorial office, we're just as interested in hearing yours, so please let us know if there's anything you feel we've missed.
We’ll be back in a month with much more on all the best of Copenhagen.
