The waiting is over. We're all set with recommendations on what not to miss in the next month.

This issue of Copenhagen Unfolded is curated by Julie. Julie loves exploring Copenhagen on her bike and always has a quirky recommendation or two up her sleeve. She loves exploring and participating in Copenhagen's cultural life and has a special weakness for good wine.

We bow a fond farewell to winter and appreciate all it gave us: As we mark March 1st, we've officially entered spring.
I've already seen the first snowdrops and erantis sprouting up, covering the parks in the most beautiful, colourful carpet of flowers. Here are my suggestions on how I welcome the early spring. And of course, an overview of other exciting things happening in March!

- Tour de Carlsberg City
- Spring through art
- Today's forecast: Sunny with a chance of wine
- Upcoming in March

City areas of Copenhagen: Step aside, please! Because there is a new kid in town. Carlsberg Byen is Copenhagen's newest old district, nestled between bohemian Frederiksberg, the hip Vesterbro and family-friendly Valby.
The district is built on the grounds that once housed the world-famous Carlsberg Brewery. The brewing era has left a strong foundation and legacy that gives the neighbourhood unique values in the form of historic buildings and industrial and scientific culture.

Despite its young lifespan, there is already so much to explore in The Carlsberg City District. Here, historical heritage meets new, modern architecture, trendy new eateries, and engaging experience hubs. I'm crossing my fingers for some dry spring weather, so I can get myself lost in this new neighbourhood and go search for J.C. Jacobsen's (founder of Carlsberg Brewery) iconic landmarks, such as The Elephant Gate or "the secret" J.C Jacobsen's Garden, which can still be found among the new architecture.
Should the spring bring a rainy day or two, I will seek shelter indoors and explore the spring through art. You see, spring usually marks the arrival of many new exhibitions at Copenhagen's many museums.
The great thing about visiting a museum is that you always leave a bit more enlightened. Either you've discovered impressionism in a different light, or maybe you've realized that contemporary art is a little too... challenging? Either way, there's a museum for every taste, age and mood in Copenhagen, and I guarantee you won't leave empty-"headed".
🤫Psst... Did you know that you can get free admission to many of Copenhagen's museums with a Copenhagen Card? You can read more about it here and see which attractions are included.

TODAY'S FORECAST: SUNNY WITH A CHANCE OF WINE
Spring: A season of nature and light. Is it also the season of natural wine? There's only one way to find out, and that's by visiting one or more of Copenhagen's many wine bars. It's a tough job, but someone's got to do it. I will do it in the name of science. An empirical study, if you will.

Despite the fact that natural wine has put Copenhageners in an iron grip, you can also find more 'traditional' wines to enjoy. Most of the wine bars even offer many other delicious beverages (including non-alcoholic) and hors d'oeuvres, so there's something for everyone.
One of the season's big events is when Tivoli opens its gates for the summer season on March 22nd. The well-known Danish brewery Mikkeller moves in this season and has reopened in Færgekroen, one of Tivoli's most picturesque locations overlooking Tivoli Lake.

Well, it looks like we've given a warm welcome to spring! We're heading out in the blue, inside the art, down in the wine glass, and the events have been turned up a notch! What a spring.
But remember, these are just my recommendations. At the editorial office, we're just as interested in hearing yours, so please let us know if you feel we've missed anything.
We’ll be back in a month with much more on all the best of Copenhagen.
