THE COLLECTION
Heading your way are five beers, each with a notable place in our hearts, whether returning from haitus or a special project with some of our best mates. We know the beers will keep you warm and toasty inside, but we also included some luxurious custom socks to warm you from the outside. Hang your 2022 ornament in full view to remind you to crack open one to share with friends and family over the holidays (and beyond).
Additional bottles of each of these beers will be available starting Thursday, November 17th.

PARABAJAVA
BOURBON BARREL-AGED IMPERIAL COFFEE STOUT
This is the fifth and latest coffee-infused twist on our iconic barrel-aged stout. Once again, we took a select batch of Parabola and infused it with Indonesian Chelbasa single-origin coffee beans from our neighbors at HoneyCo Coffe Roasters. Bittersweet espresso flavors mingle with black cherry and hazelnut, while a sweet finish is balanced by lingering bourbon and oak. Parabola’s notoriously dark bourbon-barrel character is perfectly accentuated by the coffee’s fresh aromatic roast, complex nougat flavors and subtle fruity notes, resulting in a Parabajava for the ages.

BARLEYWINE AGED IN BOURBON BARRELS
IT’S BACK, but for members only.
After several years in retirement, the famed aged ale, previously known as Abacus, makes a valiant return to stage right for its ninth batch. This epic bourbon barrel-aged English barleywine, whose original name was undone by a two‐bit legal challenge, showcases complex malt aromas and flavors framed in oak with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. Confoundingly unpronounceable yet eminently drinkable—§ucaba is built to last and can age for years to come (we recommend counting the years with an abacus).

HEAVY THINGS
COLLABORATION WITH THE. BRUERY
BARLEYWINE AGED IN BRANDY BARRELS
The beer that many of you have been waiting for and the clear winner of the 2022 season’s highest-clocked ABV, we present to you the appropriately named, Heavy Things. Brewed in collaboration with our friends at The Bruery, it is decadent barleywine co-fermented with maple syrup that pushes the limits of what our house yeast is capable of. We aged this in brandy barrels for eight months with the outcome of a waffle cone malt character with a measure of fruitiness. The unique fermentation and barrel finishing gives it a sweet and malty profile with vast flavors of maple syrup, toffee, bananas foster, candied apple, and figs.

FUZZY FEELING
COLLABORATION WITH BEACHWOOD BREWING
AMERICAN WILD ALE FERMENTED WITH WHITE PEACHES & SAGE
This collaboration with Beachwood brings a spicy twist to our typical fruited sour ales. Our standard mixed-culture ferment was assisted by Saison yeast, lending an earthy lemon vibrancy that finishes with Barrelworks’ signature tartness. We then aged the beer on 800 pounds of white peaches for 11 months. Lastly, we added a component blend steeped with foraged Trident sage. Peach and apricot aromatics abut a subtle herbaceous note brought on by a delicate dose of sage.

SIDE ROADS
COLLABORATION WITH SIDE PROJECT BREWING
DRY HOPPED WILD ALE WITH GRAPES & TANGERINE
Having crossed paths with Side Project in the past, it was almost inevitable we would decide to reconvene to mold something new, wild and wacky. Side Roads is a masterful mashup of styles starting with a sour base blend that exuded pungent Sauvignon Blanc characteristics, dry-hopped with New Zealand-born Motueka hops to hammer home the citrus, tropical poignancy of the beer. We blended in clean tangerine and hazy IPA segments to tie the worlds together. The result is this beautifully harmonious dry-hopped farmhouse ale that brings together friends far and wide.
