227,000 pounds rescued and donated
This year’s IFPA Global Produce & Floral Show was full of firsts. For the first time, Food Forward® gleaned the show, serving as an official gleaning partner alongside Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County. Through this partnership, this was the first year that floral arrangements were donated, adding additional beauty and joy to donations of healthy produce.
Together, Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, IFPA, and Food Forward gleaned a total of 227,000 pounds of fruits and vegetables and 6,650 pounds of floral, which were donated directly to local communities.
