For the Factory Websites, like EdgeRods.com, we will no longer carry inventory. ALL products will be made to order. In many cases, you can get a rod from Edge for around $150 if its a Delta Series, or $200-$300 if its a First Strike or a Black Widow. These are rods sell for $250 to $700 for similar rods (Gary would argue that they are not as good) at the retail store. We want to continue with our Factory Direct business model, but in many cases the discussion has become about the "wait" rather than the product. We are hard working Americans that build rods in American factories, the prices we offer on American Made rods are only found direct from the factory - but we also recognize the desire for folks to have rods right away.
So, we have made the decision to evolve. You can still get an Edge rod from the factory, and it will be at the factory direct rate, but there will be a wait. It some cases, the wait may be 1 month, in some cases, 9 months. However, when you can get a rod at 1/2 to 1/3 of the cost of what it would cost at the retail store - the product is well worth the wait.
Those of you that locked in your Golden Tickets - congrats! Order whenever you like, $200 for a $650 Rod is a heck of deal.
Don't want to wait - no problem! Browse the IN STOCK, available to ship within a few days at GaryLoomis.com - there will not be the prices that you can find at EdgeRods.com - but you can skip the wait and enjoy a rod from Gary right away.
