The English jazz musician, saxophonist, poet, and activist; Alabaster Deplume, releases his new album on March 28. His latest work, A Blade Because a Blade Is Whole, is inspired by his poetry collection Looking for My Value: Prologue to a Blade, in which he explores themes of personal growth, pain, and self-esteem. The album delves even deeper, examining the process of self-healing and the search for self-worth.

The fusion of poetry and music makes this a truly unique album. For this project, Alabaster DePlume took a different approach—while his previous work often emerged from collective sessions and improvisation, this album is carefully composed and fully produced by DePlume himself, offering listeners an entirely new experience of his work.

On February 21, 2025, experimental music pioneers Oren Ambarchi and Eric Thielemans will release "Kind Regards", a continuous 45-minute live performance recorded in Poitiers, France, blending meditative calm with unexpected bursts of expression. Just weeks later, on March 14, Charley Crockett—a celebrated American singer, guitarist, and songwriter—will release Lonesome Drifter, his debut on Island Records. Co-produced by Shooter Jennings, the album was recorded in just ten days at the legendary Sunset Sound Studio in Los Angeles. Shifting to the electronic realm, Norwegian duo Röyksopp will drop True Electric on April 11, capturing the essence of their live performances with 19 studio recordings, including reworked versions of past tracks and the previously unreleased "The ‘R’." Meanwhile, Vega Trails, the musical project of double bassist Milo Fitzpatrick, explores a new sonic direction with Sierra Tracks, inspired by the Sierra de Guadarrama mountains, where Fitzpatrick has resided since 2022. Expanding beyond their earlier duo work, the album introduces piano, vibraphone, and strings, enriching their signature sound.
