French ambient producer Malibu is releasing her first album on vinyl, and Ulla and Perila have come together to make an album under the same roof for the first time. Malibu’s elegy to euphoric bliss arrives on vinyl for the first time, now expanded with a previously unreleased bonus track and graced with its strikingly evocative cover art. Drawing inspiration from the ocean’s duality of stillness and turbulence, the French ambient producer creates music that flows and shifts endlessly. Featuring cello by Oliver Coates and Madelen Dressler-Vollsaeter, along with guitar by Florian Le-Prisé, the album conveys a profound sense of intimacy.

After years of long-distance collaborations, the two ambient musicians finally came together to make music under the same roof, resulting in some of their most dreamily unstructured and intimate work. While technically their third full-length collaboration, it’s the first made in complete spectral harmony. Jazz Plates captures the duo's mutual spirits, carefully channelling their shared love of Alice Coltrane and Pharoah Sanders, using voice, clarinet, guitar, piano, vocals, and various non-musical objects—logs, leaves, and even an aquarium—until they reach their emotional core.
