NV DOMAINE LELIÉVRE 'BRUT LEUCQUOIS'
Côtes de Toul, Lorraine, France
This sparkling rosé is comprised of 100% Gamay from the Côtes de Toul region of France, Gamay is a thin-skinned grape known for fresh, fruity and forward reds from Beaujolais. Miles (or kilometers) away in Lorraine, the Lelievre brothers coax Gamay in a different way, allowing this delicate grape to shine in all its sparkling rose elegance.
Robust bubbles turn frothy in this uber-pale pink wine. Crisp and dry with tangy flavors of green apple, tart citrus and green strawberries. If you haven’t noticed yet, there’s a rabbit on the label – not saying it’s an Easter bunny but surely a sign of spring! Keep an eye out for their still rosé arriving later this season.

2021 FRAM WINE GRENACHE GRIS
Voor-Paardeberg, South Africa
This 100% Grenache Gris gets about two weeks of skin-contact and the resulting wine is beautifully pinkish-amber in color. These skin-contact ambers (sometimes referred to as ‘orange wine’) are made when white grapes get the red-wine treatment. Think of the grape skins like tea: the longer the steep time, the greater the influence in texture, taste and color.
Expect bright citrus aromas from this beautifully hued wine. Light(er) in body but with the inescapable grip that comes from skin contact. Mandarin oranges and grapefruit dominate the palate with a refreshly dry and slightly metallic (in a good way) finish. *Pro tip: chill this as you would a white, but once you open it, allow the wine to come to room temperature as you enjoy the range of flavors this gem has to offer.

2012 LA ANTIGUA CLASICO RESERVA
Rioja, Spain
60% Garnacha, 30% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano. The reds from Rioja are commonly built on a heavy foundation of Tempranillo but here Garnacha (aka Grenache) does the heavy lifting. La Antigua Clasico is located in a seldom-explored subregion of Rioja: the western mountain range Sierra de la Demanda. High-altitude vineyards are substantially cooler than most parts of this region. The terrain is steep, rocky and rich with red silica; this is not your typical Rioja at all. Here, the emphasis is on freshness and minerality – two qualities very important to us at Bin!
This red is over a decade old but still zesty and energetic, offering an array of flavors from spiced berries and flowers to rich vanilla and hints of smoke. Now fully mature, the tannins are gentle and slow-building, working in harmony with the flavors for a truly balanced wine.

2021 SAINT COSME
Côtes du Rhône, France
100% Syrah! The exclamation point is legit; it’s rare to find Côtes du Rhône made exclusively from one varietal, especially Syrah. Chateau de Saint Cosme is one of the leading estates in the Rhône dating back to Roman times, producing benchmark wines of Gigondas. The philosophy here is to retain freshness in the wine, a chancy feat in such a warm climate. They achieve this by leaving part of the stem attached to the grapes which absorbs alcohol and assists with preserving acidity and tannin.
This red wine is on the fuller side of medium bodied with notes of dark red and black berries, plums and violets. In true Syrah fashion, you’ll also find black pepper and smokey spice. Save this wine for one of the inevitable frigid nights we have left this Sprinter. That’s not a typo! According to my favorite weather reporter, spring + winter = Sprinter!

2021 VALLE DELL'ACATE 'ZAGRA'
Sicily, Italy | 6 Bottle Club Exclusive
100% Grillo, a white grape native to Sicily grown in yellow sandy-clay soils. Grillo is by far most famous for being the backbone grape varietal used to make Marsala; that fortified wine we love to cook with. Valle Dell’Acate is headed up by Gaetano Jacono, one of the pioneers of the ‘New Sicily’. She is a fierce advocate of her native wines and her world-renowned reputation for creating elegant and expressive wines that are true to their origin set her leagues apart from others.
These Grillo vineyards are coastal and the seaside influence marks this wine with the slightest hint of saline alongside white flowers, stone fruits and elderflower. Here is the wine for bluebird skies, warm afternoons and flip flops!
