The weeks leading into the holidays have been busy and productive!
I spent last week in Washington, D.C., meeting with our Wyoming congressional delegation and officials from various groups from the federal administration. Our focus was building relationships, advocating for Wyoming’s interests, and solidifying our state's seat at the table. This is work that will matter down the road as decisions are made that affect our communities and land.
While relationships with our contacts in the East are important, our direction will ALWAYS be guided by the people back home. The voices of Wyoming citizens will shape our priorities and keep us focused on what truly matters.
Personally, the trip also offered several important and somber moments of reflection about our history, struggles, and successes as a nation. It's important to remember.
Now that I'm home, Kelly and I are looking forward to a blessed Christmas holiday with family and friends, and hope the same for you. God bless everyone, and God bless Wyoming.

It was a beautiful and brisk morning as we walked to the nation's Capitol to meet Senator Barrasso, Senator Lummis, and Congresswoman Hageman.
We were able to thank the delegation for their work and for taking the time to meet with us to have productive conversations with Senator Barrasso on healthcare, Senator Lummis on training a skilled workforce, and Congresswoman Hageman on natural resources.

It was also great to gather with a handful of D.C.-based Wyomingites while in town, to share a meal and bring a little of Wyoming to them. We appreciate having them there.

Thank you, Senator Lummis
Wyoming is grateful for Senator Cynthia Lummis’ decades of service.
From her time in the Wyoming Legislature, to State Treasurer, to the U.S. House, and now in the U.S. Senate, Senator Lummis has been a steady and principled voice for Wyoming values—fighting for our energy workers, ranchers, small businesses, and the freedoms that make our state unique.
While her retirement marks the closing of an important chapter, Senator Lummis still has meaningful work ahead in the coming year. I look forward to continuing to work with her on issues critical to Wyoming’s future, including strengthening our skilled workforce—an issue we discussed together in Washington this week.
Thank you, Senator Lummis, for your service, your leadership, and your continued dedication to Wyoming.

Gratitude and Honor
The holiday season felt like an especially poignant time to visit D.C., including my first visit to Arlington National Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. After participating in the Wreaths Across America event in Gillette, it felt very connected to see similar wreaths on the graves at Arlington.
Standing in those hallowed grounds was a stark reminder to me of the sacrifices made for this country and how much it matters to honor that sacrifice.

Shopping Local
Back home in Wyoming, Kelly and I spent some time picking up a few items on our Christmas lists. If you can, shop local this season! Our small businesses are run by neighbors and families who keep our communities and local economies strong.
