Making an Impact in Our Community

At The Salvation Army of Wake County, we provide essential services like shelter, food, clothing and emergency disaster services to families in crisis. Through our social services programs, we help families find stability. During National Salvation Army week we launched our Community Impact video. Watch and see how we are making a difference in Wake County.

Leadership Changes

We are excited to welcome Majors Joseph and Lorraina Crawford as our new commanding officers. They bring a wealth of experience from the Potomac Division covering Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, and Washington, D.C.

We thank our beloved Majors Chuck and Julie Whiten for their nearly five years of service. They lifted up our community in countless ways and led with grace, strength, and unwavering faith. We wish them well as they begin their new chapter as area commanders in Winston-Salem.

Giving with Purpose

A huge thank you to the amazing team from Enbridge Gas North Carolina for being a wonderful neighbor and corporate citizen. The South Raleigh Operations team volunteered their time and talents to help beautify the grounds at our Center of Hope. Their efforts reflect their commitment to community vitality and we are grateful for their support. Together, we are making a difference!

National Donut Day

We had the pleasure of recognizing National Donut Day by delivering some sweet treats to the Raleigh VA Clinic in honor of our brave men and women in uniform. The Army has a long history of paying tribute to our military. "Donut Lassies" delivered donuts to soldiers on the front lines during World War I and II to lift their spirits.
