So, I thought I was going to write some super serene, earth-mother-inspired intro for the approaching Taurus season.
My notes literally said 'tactile,' 'indulgent,' 'earthy.'
Very organized. Very professional. I know.
What those cute little bullet points conveniently failed to capture was that I'd be writing this month's newsletter mid potty training negotiations, with "urgent" client + vendor emails crash landing in my inbox all day, annd a mountain of laundry silently judging my life choices.
*dramatic sigh*
I might want to be radiating pure, grounded Taurus energy, (lead by example or whatever, right?) but rn? I'm just wondering if ordering fancy takeout again counts as self care or accessible luxury.
If you're feelin' me – and your inner lovergirl is also angling for flower bombs, cozy vay-cays, decadent adventures and high-quality snacks – congratulations, you're tapping into the Taurus season vibes rolling in around April 19th.
We're collectively shifting from Aries' frantic 'GO GO GO' energy to the Bull's stubborn insistence on comfort, pleasure, and asking the important questions like: Why hustle when you could snuggle? Why wear real pants? Ever?
This month we aren't working to achieve mystical Earth Goddess status. We're cultivating pleasure, grounding, and finding actionable ways to feel luxurious right here, amidst chaos.

Cribs: Human Design Edition
When looking to cultivate pleasure and find some grounding amidst chaos of life, where you attempt this matters more than you might think.
Human Design points to something called your "Environment" – the specific energetic frequency of a place your system needs to thrive.
Nailing the right conditions could be the difference between blooming in a ridiculously lush, sun-dappled meadow with immaculate vibes and rich-ass soil vs. trying to grow in some dry, shitty roadside dirt patch feeling debased and off kilter.
Nobody wants that.
Grab your charts, I've got some insights.
Caves: The Sanctuary Seekers
(L: Selective, R: Blending) Your soul needs a vault. A Fort Knox of Feelings. A place where the chaotic static of the outside world flatlines the second you cross the threshold. Control isn't just nice, it's oxygen.
The Move: Fortify your bunker. Seriously. Noise-canceling gear is non-negotiable. Get militant about lighting. Find that indestructible houseplant that thrives on neglect. Put up whatever signs you need to enforce the perimeter. This is your sacred battery-recharge station, guard it fiercely.
Markets: The Curated Collectors
(L: Internal, R: External)
If endless options make you want to scream, it's because you need curation. Quality is the signal that cuts through all that noise. You operate best when you can discern the absolute 'hell yes' from the pile of 'meh' – you want environments rich with possibility, sure, but minus the soul-crushing chaos.
The Move: Wield your pickiness like a surgical tool. On your next necessary errand, make it a targeted strike: retrieve one small artifact of genuine quality that sparks something in you— a specific spice, the cute notebook with the good paper, socks without annoying seams. Filter the signal from the noise. Only bring the good shit home.
Kitchens: The Alchemists
(L: Wet, R: Dry) You belong where the cauldron bubbles – metaphorically or literally. Where ideas slam together, ingredients transform, energy gets messy and turns into something else. Stagnation is your enemy. You need that generative heat.
The Move: Jump into the creative stew. Don't just watch, stir the pot. Engage in something that takes raw stuff (ideas, food, frustrations) and transmutes it. Maybe it's starting an 'idea graveyard' journal, hosting a skill-share with friends, or making a gloriously messy meal that uses every pot and pan in the house. Create something tangible.
Mountains: The Perspective Takers
(L: Active, R: Passive) You need headspace. Like, you physically need to feel the horizon expand so your brain can unkink itself. That’s your vibe. Solid ground underfoot, wide-open possibility above, it’s how you re-calibrate.
The Move: Engineer perspective shifts. If you can't get high up physically, find it elsewhere. Stare out a different window. Rearrange your furniture to open up flow. Dig into a documentary that blows your mind wide open. Reclaim that feeling of spaciousness however you can. And because it's Taurus szn, great snacks are mandatory fuel for summiting your mental peaks. Don't skimp.
Valleys: The Connected Conduits
(L: Narrow, R: Wide) Shallow chit-chat makes your soul wither? You need the resonant hum of real connection, the grounded exchange of energy and information within a space that feels contained and clear. Bad acoustics are a personal affront.
The Move: Become a ruthless curator of your conversational containers. Notice where communication feels like shouting into a void. Ditch it. Insist on settings that allow for nuance—that super specific spot in a coffee shop, a walk where you can hear inflection, or hell - a phone call instead of asynchronous texts for something important. Demand better energetic hygiene in your exchanges.
Shores: The Edge Dwellers
(L: Natural, R: Artificial) You're weirdest (in a good way) at the borders. Where things meet and blur – dawn/dusk, indoors/outdoors, reality/imagination. Thresholds are portals where your energy re-calibrates.
The Move: Play in the liminal. Make a ritual of stepping outside for the first light or watching the sky change color at night. Consciously mark the transition between 'work mode' and 'your time.' Get lost in a story. Let yourself linger in doorways. Find stability in the flux, it’s where your magick lives.
Secondary Intel: How you're designed to inhabit this space.
Look the "Environment" arrow on your chart (bottom left):
Observed <- (Left Arrow): Go Mode. This habitat is designed to fuel action. Use the energy here to do "the things". It’s your launch sequence. Engage!
Observer -> (Right Arrow): Soak Mode. This habitat is for marinating. Your system processes and recharges best by absorbing, lounging, being. No apologies. Forget productivity hacks. Your power move is chilling the fuck out.

02
Pleasure Rebellion
You've assessed your habitat. Now comes the part where you actively wire more pleasure and autonomy into your system.
A rebellion requires tactical precision.
Choose your op, soldier:
Operation: Reclaim My Time Scan your upcoming week like a military strategist. Identify at least one hour currently held hostage by a soul-crushing obligation, people-pleasing bullshit, or some mind-numbing task you're dreading. Annihilate that commitment. Delete it. Delegate it. Burn it down (metaphorically, please). Replace it with something deliberately "unproductive" that feels phenomenal in your body.
Build a pillow fort like you're ten again and hide inside with a flashlight and some contraband snacks, take an obscenely long shower, or blast music and dance with zero grace. Guard this reclaimed hour like it holds the keys to your personal fucking kingdom.
Operation: Sensory Sovereignty Your body holds preferences. It constantly processes intel through your senses. Time to tap into that stream. Pick one sense a day for a week (touch, taste, smell, sound, sight).
As you move through your day, notice: What input via this channel feels genuinely good or calming? What feels jarring or adds to the background static? Volume down on the inner critic. You're gathering crucial data on your own operating system. This intel is power. Use it to consciously curate your reality.
Operation: Evict Unproductive Discomfort We tolerate immense physical discomfort daily: the bra strap digging in, that one perpetually itchy tag on your favorite sweater that you swear is woven from pure spite, that one shitty knife in your block that mashes tomatoes instead of slicing them.
Too much in life normalizes this drain. Choose one source you endure. Decide, right now, to yeet that motherfucker into the sun (or, fine, the donation bin). Stop letting scratchy, pinchy, awkward things siphon your precious energy. Discomfort without growth is not a virtue.
Operation: Power Pause Before your mouth automatically forms a "yes" to the next request (a favor, a meeting, a social event), STOP. Institute a mandatory pause. Take 3 deep breaths.
Ask your gut, your body, your inner authority: Does this resonate as expansion or contraction? Is it a clear 'hell yes' or a murky 'ugh, obligation'? Start honoring the answer more often than your conditioning screams at you to. Toss the sense of obligation and murky guilt to the birds. You're building formidable boundary muscle.
Pick one, commit (loosely!), and start your rebellion against desensitization.

Grounded & Glorious
Reclaiming your time and energy bit by bit is non-negotiable work. Another part of that strategy is actively dragging your awareness back into your physical self through your senses.
Yeah, it sounds simple, maybe even eye-rollingly cliché, but when the world seems designed to make you forget you inhabit a body (not just operate a brain), these sensory check-ins become lifelines.
Play with these anchors, remembering consistency trumps perfection:
For Touch / Reclaiming Your Form: If frantic energy is making you feel like a frayed nerve ending, ground yourself through touch. Use a body oil or lotion you like. Take three to five solid minutes post-shower to massage it in, feeling the boundary of your physical self. This deliberate sensory contact is a potent act of reclaiming your sovereignty. Connect with your own substance. It’s home base, even when your brain disagrees.
For Grounding / Feeling Your Weight: Anxiety doing its usual spin-out routine, threatening to toss you into the void? Remind your system of its connection to the earth. Plant your bare feet firmly on the floor (or grass, yes, like a weirdo – it works). Slip into comfy slippers the moment you walk in the door.
Let a weighted lap pad settle you, its grounding pressure a hard stop pinning you to reality. Feel your own weight, the pull of gravity holding you. It’s an effective antidote when your mind wants to float off on its own bullshit.
For Sound / Reclaiming Mental Space: Your ears process a relentless stream of information daily. Grant them, and your likely fried nervous system, an intentional sanctuary now and then. Quality noise-canceling headphones are practically a human right at this point. Use them to build a wall against the external chaos.
Or, find sounds: rain, brown noise, that one obscure instrumental track and let it settle your nervous system. The goal is carving out silence, real or manufactured, so you can hear yourself think – or even better – hear nothing at all for sixty seconds.
For Taste / Pleasure as Fuel: Stop inhaling sad-beige food while doomscrolling. Counteract the numb consumption with one deliberate moment of actual taste. Pick one thing. A sweet mango, really good chocolate, a crunchy pickle and pay. fucking. attention. Focus on the flavor explosion, the texture, the whole sensation.
Tasting forces you into the present moment, hijacking the brain's bs narratives. Claim one pleasurable sensation, let it become your micro-rebellion against autopilot.
For Smell / Reclaiming Your Space: Your nose is a direct hotline to shifting your internal state and the energy of your personal space. Find a scent – a specific candle, essential oil blend, room spray – that acts as your personal 'vibe check' button or 'keep out' signal to stale and unhelpful energy. Use scent strategically to clear out stagnant funk, reinforce your personal bubble, and reclaim your territory.
The Point: These practices aren't massive life overhauls. Pick one sense. Tune in fully for at least 60 seconds. It might feel pointless or silly at first but that's usually the resistance talking. Push past it gently. Repeat when chaos surges or you feel yourself drifting. They are simple, repeatable ways to tether yourself back into your body and your physical reality.

Head Games & Body Truths
So, you're practicing tuning in more to your space, your pleasure, your senses. Good. That's foundational. But the real shadow work often kicks in with what happens next. It starts when your body, (now that you’re actually listening) begins dropping truths your ego would rather ignore.
The recurring churn in your stomach around a certain person? The exhaustion that hits after pretending everything's fine? The quiet-but-persistent urge to keep shoving everything down because talking about it feels inconvenient or scary? The resentment? The anger?
That's your body talking. Loud and clear.
The 'shadow' isn't some spooky entity. It's usually the complex web of excuses, rationalizations, fears, and ingrained bullshit stories we tell ourselves to avoid hearing or acting on these uncomfortable bodily truths. It’s the resistance to acknowledging what is.
So the work? It’s getting unflinchingly honest with yourself about what your embodied wisdom is revealing.
Ask yourself: Where does my body consistently scream 'no' even when my mouth says 'yes'? What desires keep bubbling up, refusing to be ignored? Which truths am I actively pretending not to know?
Facing those answers without flinching – that's where the deep shadow integration happens. When you allow raw physical sensation—discomfort and all—to directly inform your understanding, and couple that awareness with balls-out honesty.
(and action)
The body's feeling is the primary data, stop trying to argue with it.
Will it be tough? Fuck yes. Liberating? Absolutely.
Kthxbye.
𓆸 Don't forget to reach for support if you need it. Women are communal by nature. You never have to carry anything alone.

...and then she says: I was put on this earth to thrive. I deserve good things simply because I exist. I don't need to earn things like happiness and comfort, they are my birthright.
