Happy month-iversary!

We launched theWKDY on April 1st, 2020. Thank you for staying with us and we hope you enjoy this throwback #thehills

  • You’ve probably heard of remdesivir, the drug Dr. Fauci shared this week that shows early promise of reducing COVID-19 mortality rates and durations. Well the good news is that there’s many other drugs being tested for repurposing for COVID-19 treatment. We just need one to work.
  • Step aside Renegade – TikTok has a new dance challenge to Beyonce’s remix of Megan Thee Stallion’s single, Savage. Don’t worry, we didn’t know who Megan Thee Stallion was either. She’s a popular rapper from Houston and proceeds from the remix will go to Houston COVID-19 relief. Practice starts on Saturday at 8am.
  • Now this is clever – IMG is hosting a Mario Tennis tournament on May 3 at 4p ET. Each participant will get $25K to donate to a charity of their choice for a total of $1M. Some celebrity participants include: Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, Gigi Hadid and Hailey Bieber.

  • Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk have opposing opinions about stay at home orders. While Musk thinks it’s fascist to require people to stay at home, Zuckerberg expressed concerns about opening up too soon. Mind you, Musk is negatively impacted by the orders since Tesla’s factory in California is closed and Zuckerberg is positively impacted since Facebook’s user engagement increased.

  • A couple of Joe Biden updates – He’s finally speaking up about Tara Reade’s sexual harassment allegations on MSNBC’s Morning Joe this morning. Biden also designated a vetting team for his Vice Presidential running mate, who he’s pledged to be a woman (top contenders also listed in article linked).
