Dear Friends,
Tikvah is excited to announce the Inaugural National Middle East History Competition: a new trivia contest on the historical events, figures, ideas, and cultural movements of the Middle East. This groundbreaking initiative, meant to inspire the next generation of Middle East scholars and leaders, is organized by Tikvah and the Alexander Hamilton Society.
Why This Competition Matters
The U.S.-Israel relationship and the future of the Middle East depend on the emergence of new leaders from the rising generation who understand the region, its political figures, thinkers, regimes, revolutionary movements, challenges, and historical inflection points. Through this competition, Tikvah seeks to encourage students to engage deeply with the greatest works of Middle East scholarship.
Created with the generous support of Diane Troderman, this competition is inspired by the Chidon HaTanach (Israel's annual International Bible Competition).
