Shipping Letter from President Mark Lerud:

It’s been nearly 10 years for the new CM and if you can believe it, last week we hit the milestone of shipping 2 million cartons! (Congratulations to Diana Shellenberger who received that 2 millionth carton with a $250 shopping spree and special memento!)

Related, the team has been sharing posts with me about damage to our cartons during shipping. The carton specifications have been the same from the beginning; but what we have learned is that over time the manufacturer has increased the percent of recycled fiber in the cartons. The fiber change, combined with the increased automation of box handling during shipping, has created unsatisfactory results.

Jeremie in Operations (pictured below) did a study to determine which of our cartons needed updating to ensure your heaviest boxes arrive at your doorstep in perfect condition. I’m happy to share that you will begin to see the results of this effort soon as the various boxes shown below start coming your way. You’ll see they include a black logo to signify the updated carton strength.
